Program Evaluation


Program evaluations examine what is happening as a result of initiatives, and why.

​Evaluation activities include:
  • Developing and assessing theories of change and program success assumptions
  • Identifying and implementing appropriate performance indicators
  • Defining the quality of outcome/impact evidence needed
  • Designing/conducting baseline studies
  • Gathering/summarizing data using mixed methods (qualitative/quantitative)
  • Conducting data quality assessments
  • Conducting descriptive statistical analysis
  • Conducting content/thematic analyses with small or large sets of qualitative data e.g., interviews, focus groups, documents, literature
  • Conducting meta-evaluations/syntheses
